NOTD: 80’s Nails

Posted on by 0 comment

This nail colour has no name on the bottle, so I have dubbed it ’80’s Sparkle’ cause I chose it for my nails for an 80’s themed party I went to this month.

It’s something else!

This polish is by Accessorize, a store I LOVE for finding awesome accessories (lol I’m serious!) I think my sister included this polish in a present a while back… I’m not sure though.

There’s purple, gold, green, sparkle… it would make for a perfect Mardi Gras nail polish! OR awesome for an accent nail. It was fun to wear, and suited my look for the theme party, didn’t last terribly long before chipping but I wasn’t too bummed out about it, didn’t plan to wear it for more than a couple days.

What zany polishes you have in your collection?

NOTD – You’re A Pisa Work

I couldn’t resist this beautiful rich pink by OPI for Easter weekend!

You're A Pisa Work OPI nails

Excuse the chip and imperfections, the gym was not kind to my nails

This is You’re A Pisa Work by OPI, it’s a gorgeous, vivid pink that goes with just about anything. Versatile in a classic red kind of way, I love it! It would be a fun colour to make a patterned look around, but I decided to pass on making my Easter mani complicated.

Did you do any cool nail art for Easter? What pinks are you loving for Spring?

NOTD: MoMa

Not sure what the inspiration behind the name of this polish is… but I’ll take it: MoMa by NYC (New York Color In A New York Minute)

This is one of the 2 for $3 polishes I snagged at Walmart on a whim since the colour were great for spring, they were cheap AND quick dry for when I need to do my nails in a jiffy.

NYC Nail Polish in MoMa

A nice transition colour to wear from winter to spring!

Put on 2 coats but it wasn’t really necessary colour-payoff wise, more just so my manicure would last more than 2 days! Super happy with the colour, will probably we wearing a lot of this.

On the hunt for an awesome nude polish, probably will snag an Essie or OPI one. If you have a go-to nude that you can recommend, please do!

NOTD – Tenacious Teal

Here’s a nail polish I picked up from a haul a while back, and now that it’s officially spring I thought I’d test it out! I present to you: Maybelline Color Show in Tenacious Teal!

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish

Not too bad!

This polish only set me back about $2 at Walmart, and I’m pretty pleased with it! It did require 2 coats, one was simply not intense enough, but 2 did the trick! I’m on day 3 of wearing this colour and it’s holding up nicely. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another colour in the Maybelline Color Show line :)

What spring polishes have you been loving? I’ve been hearing about OPI’s Wizard of Oz line and am itching to pick one of them up! I’ll let you know if I can track one down.
