Banana Paleo Power Bars

I have been looking for the perfect mid afternoon snack that’s not just nuts in a bag, and finally mustered up the energy to get in the kitchen and come up with something.

Paleo Banana Power Bars

These are dangerous little numbers!

Well my friends, what I have created is a beautiful thing. Do not let the long list of ingredients scare you, it’s totally worth it. I also recommend buying your nuts/seeds in bulk. Waaayyyy better deal!


  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 Sunbutter
  • 1/4 Almond Butter
  • 1/4 cup ground Flax
  • 4 tbs coconut milk
  • 1 cup of Almond Meal or Flour
  • 1 tsp cinnimon
  • 2 tbsp Honey (Add more or less depending on your taste)
  • 1/2 sesame seeds
  • 1/4 sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Cream
  • 1/2 Coconut flakes
  • 1/3 cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 3/4 cup of whey protein
  • 1 tsp baking soda

(Other options for nuts/ seeds – hemp hearts, walnuts, almonds, pecans, whatever you like!)


  1. Preheat oven to 325 C. Grab your mixing bowl and throw in your bananas, eggs, nut butters, flax, vanilla, coconut oil, creamed coconut and cinnamon. Mix well with a hand mixer!
  2. Add everything except the chocolate chips, whey protein and baking soda. Mix well again.
  3. Last, add your whey, baking soda and choco chips. Gently mix.
  4. Pull out your baking sheet, and evenly spread the ‘dough’ with a spatula.
  5. Put it in the over for approx 20 mins OR until light brown around the edges of the baking sheet.
  6. Remove from over, let cool then slice and store. Enjoy however you please!
