Mini Haul: Hair, Lips and Nails!

Posted on by 0 comment

Did a little shopping over the Easter long weekend and wanted to share the few things I picked up!

Haul stuff

And the good news, half of it was on sale!

First, I’ve been hooked on a sample of the John Frieda Anti-Frizz Hair Serum. It made such a difference in my hair that once I used up the sample I knew I needed to pick up something comparable… but not quite as expensive. I went for the Tresemme Anti Frizz Secret (see above). I’ve used it a couple times now, smells good + works well = happy customer! I have thick hair that dries a bit wavy, and this keeps everything under control when applied wet. I live in a dry climate, have been dying my hair so the extra love makes all the difference.

Also picked up the St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Fresh Skin! Honestly, I was searching the shelf @ Walmart for the cheapest scrub that wasn’t super chemically and this one really was it! About $2.50, and this bottle will go a long way for me since I’ll only use it once a week. Tested it out over the weekend and used a Balea Pink Clay Face Mask after, divine! Fantastic product at and unbeatable price point. (You can find the face masks @ Shoppers Drug Mart if you’re in Canada).

Onto nail polishes!

Wet N Wild Megalast Nail Polish

This polish is a close dupe for a gorgeous Covergirl polish, just a bit brighter of a coral.

This is the Wet N Wild Megalast polish in Club Havana, gorgeous colour for Spring/Summer – and only around $2 per bottle! I’ve heard good things about the Megalast line so I’m excited to test it out, I’ll be sure to do a NOTD for this one, AND my new L’Oreal colour too!

L'Oreal Nail Polish in Trust Fund Baby

This one was in the sale bin @ Shopper’s Drug Mart. Couldn’t resist!

Might be tough to see in this photo BUT there is a bit of sparkle to this polish, but not too much. It’s call Trust Fund Baby lol. Only $2.99, never hurts to dig through the clearance basket now and then :)

Last I took a wild and daring risk, and brought home a L’Oreal Colour Riche The Balm in Caring Coral.

L'Oreal The Balm Coral

This was also on sale, $5 something?

There were no sample of this lippy in store, and if there were I wouldn’t have bought it. It’s really a glorified lip balm, doesn’t offer a whole lot in the colour department (which is what I was hoping for!) But hey, you live you learn! I like the way the product feels when I wear it, I just wish if packed more punch like the Revlon Lip Butters.

Well, that was my little haul for you! Have you tried out anything new lately? Find any gems in the clearance bin???
