HAUL: Physicians Formula, Rimmel & More!

Posted on by 0 comment

I stopped by Shoppers Drug Mart this week intending ONLY to pick up a dual sharpener for eyeliners etc… of course that didn’t happen! I ended up with a few make-up products since they had some great deals on.

Do you find that some Shoppers Drug Marts have loads of sales, and others hardly at all?

Here’s what I got:

Revlon Super Lustrious Lip Glosses, Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad, Physicians Formula Bronzer, Essence Eyeshadow, L'Oreal Infallable Eye Shadow

Revlon Super Lustrious Lip Glosses, Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad, Physicians Formula Bronzer, Essence Eyeshadow, L’Oreal Infallable Eye Shadow AND a sharpener :)

Review: Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad – Sun Safari

Rimmel Glam Eyes Sun Safari

This Rimmel Glam Eyes quad is number 19 in Sun Safari

These shadows are in really everyday friendly colours, are soft and have a lovely satin finish. The downside is they are a bit powdery, and take some work to get good colour payoff. I would recommend using a primer with these.

The Taupe is by far my favourite in the quad. For $5 I’m happy with these Rimmel shadows, but I’m not sure I’d jump to get more since they aren’t as impressive as a Wet n Wild or NYX shadows.

First Impressions: L’Oreal Infallible Amber Rush Eyeshadow

A L’Oreal Infallable Eyeshadow in Amber Rush

I would call these a pressed pigment before an eyeshadow, they come off very metallic and have EXCELLENT colour payoff and staying power. The L’Oreal Infallable Eyeshadows do run a bit pricier, however one of these should last you a lifetime. It takes very little product to create a look with these, and you can often skip adding a darker crease colour because of the effect these create on your lids. I will try to do a ‘look’ with these at some point to demonstrate this for you :)

The top shadow is Amber Rush, a pinky bronze colour that would be flattering on just about anyone!

The bottom swatch is quite impressive too huh? You can get that colour for less than $3!

First Impressions: Essence Eyeshadow – Party All Night

These are AMAZING! So soft, SO SO pigmented and a gorgeous taupey metallic colour! I wish Essence had more of a range of colours…I will have to keep my eye out for what I can find these are excellent bang for your buck.

First Impressions: Physicians Formula Bronzer – Sunset Strip

Physicians formula Sunset Strip Bronzer

My first ever Physicians Formula product! This bronzer in Sunset Strip

How gorgeous! This product doubles as an eyeshadow, blush, highlight and bronzer! I bought it to use as a highlight in the summer, and focusing in the lighter shades offers that summer glow that I’m after.

The top swatch is a blend of the shades in Sunset Strip. Compared to Amber Rush and Party All Night you can really see how this will work well as an eyeshadow!

Last but not least, a major deal alert! I forgot to get a photo of just the lipglosses, but if you scroll up they’re in the first photo: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Glosses!

Here’s the deal, Revlon has revamped the packaging and introduced some new colours to the line, so the OLD packaged Super Lustrous Lip Glosses are ON SALE! I’ve heard such great things about them that I took advantage of the reduced price. I picked up Pink Pursuit, Nude Lustre and Pink Pop. I find them all so wearable alone and over lipstick.

I did also find that sharpener I was looking for, it was quite similar to THIS that I found on amazon.

I hope you found these reviews helpful, I’m sure I’ll have another ‘haul’ type post soon enough! What have you hauled recently? Are you loving it?

Here’s a video of my haul too, I’d love it if you’d subscribe to my channel : GypsyBeauty33
